TEXAS GMB IN 2019!
​​It's been an exciting school year so far for Global Medical Brigades. The organization has made large strides in the past semester, evolving in different aspects and reaching new milestones. Read a bit on what's been happening with Global Medical Brigades.

The organization has over TRIPLED in size since August 2018, with around 150+ members currently. The immense efforts made by the current officer team has proven to make big impacts. Texas GMB has created a name for itself and we are so excited to continue spreading the Global Brigade's mission.
​
A group of 33 students were sent to GHANA in January 2019. Working in pop-up clinics, training community health workers, assisting in vision stations - these students made large steps forward in building up the holistic sustainble development model in Ghana.
​
TWO groups of students are set to fly out to PANAMA this summer in 2019, during May and August. This is the FIRST time that Texas GMB has sent two groups in one summer. We are so excited for the great group of students we have with a total of 70 STUDENTS! These students will be assisting in medical clinics, dental stations, and preventative education workshops.
​
We have also set another brigade to GHANA in the next winter of 2020. We are so ready to take in as many students as possible that also have the great mission of Global Brigades.
​
Besides our work abroad, we are so proud of all the work our members have done within our
personal community of Austin, Texas. From volunteering at the University of Texas Microfarm to wrapping presents in the local malls for Christmas, our students have showcased their love for their community and their passion for continuing to better it.
​
It is only February and that means there is still so much time to make even more leaps forward in our growth as an organization. We are so excited!!!
